How to join Farmasi from Nigeria

Farmasi has no local operation in Nigeria. You enroll on the United States site and orders ship from the US warehouse.

This works differently from a market with its own Farmasi office. Because Farmasi does not operate locally in Nigeria, you enroll on the United States site, picking your country from the dropdown, and orders ship from the US warehouse. Signing up is the easy part. What actually decides whether the business works for you is what happens when the parcel reaches customs in Nigeria — so that is what this page covers, with the real numbers.

Go to the United States site

Do not go looking for a Farmasi Nigeria website — there isn't one. Enrollment happens on farmasius.com with my sponsor code already applied.

Pick "Nigeria (From US)" in the dropdown

This is the step people skip, and it is the one that matters. In the "Register for" selector at the top of the form, find your option and select it. Leave it on the United States and the form will ask you for details you do not have.

Fill in your details and address

Name, email, phone and the address in Nigeria where you want your order delivered. Check what the form asks for before you pay — this is where most people get stuck.

Pay and wait for your order

It is a $19.99 one-time enrollment fee, with the option to add a product kit. Once confirmed you get your back-office credentials and your own online store, and the order ships from the United States.

Customs and taxes when your order lands in Nigeria

The ECOWAS Common External Tariff applies. Nigeria's effective import burden is heavy: the US government's own trade guide notes that tariff, levy, excise and VAT combined exceed 50% on more than 80 tariff lines. One piece of good news is that the 4% FOB import charge was suspended by Nigeria Customs after industry pushback.

Paying in US dollars from Nigeria

This is the part that decides whether the whole thing works for you. Naira-card international limits are set by each bank, not by one CBN rule, and they have moved enormously: GTBank's cap went from USD 1,000 a quarter in July 2025 to USD 20,000 a quarter by August 2026, while other banks sit far lower. Check your own bank's current limit before you enroll, and treat a domiciliary or USD card as the reliable route.

Product rules and registration

NAFDAC requires registration of imported cosmetics before they may be imported and sold, and publishes dedicated guidelines for it. Whether a personal-use quantity is treated differently is not something you should assume.

If you start selling regularly

Under the Nigeria Tax Act 2025, in force since January 2026, a small company with turnover up to NGN 50 million and fixed assets up to NGN 250 million pays no companies income tax — which makes formalising early unusually painless here.

Will the product actually reach Nigeria?

What currency do I pay in?

US dollars. Your bank applies the conversion and, depending on the country, an extra charge or levy.

Do I need a US address?

That depends on what the form asks once you select your country. Check before you pay — plenty of people enroll without changing the dropdown and then find themselves asked for US details.

What if Farmasi opens an office in Nigeria?

Farmasi has been opening new markets steadily. If it opens in Nigeria, ask entrepreneur support how that affects your account rather than assuming the migration is automatic.

Can I legally resell what I import?
